Using several different packagings, long-term storage test of non-metallic cartridge cases was carried out to simulate the practical ammunition storage conditions of army in subtropical regions. Dimensions stability and water vapor permeability of non-metallic cartridge cases was studied. Propellant inside and outside volatile for different storage term was analyzed. The results showed that non-metallic cartridge cases have a certain degree of deformation and water vapor permeasion in hot and humid storage conditions. Correspondant measures were put forward to solve the problems.
