      The advantages and disadvantages in the synthesis of graphene were reviewed, and then the mechanism and recent progress in the preparation of graphene with supercritical fluid exfoliation method were introduced in details. The characteristics of supercritical carbon dioxide exfoliation method were discussed and the development direction was prospected. The method of preparing graphene by supercritical fluid exfoliation is simple in equipment and easily accessible in conditions, which provides a new idea for large-scale and efficient production of high-quality graphene.
