Abstract:
      Relaxation is one of the primary failure forms of springs, and temperature has significant influence on it. Storage life of empennage springs was studied by temperature accelerated tests. The testing device for stress relaxation of empennage springs was designed and manufactured. Four temperature points of accelerated test were designed using the device. Stress decrease of10% was used as failure indexes. Storage life of empennage springs was predicted by Arrhenius life prediction formula, and the storage life at normal temperature was evaluated.
