Abstract: |
Objective To study the corrosion behaviors of T2, TuP, B10, H62 alloys in seawater, focusing on influences of micro structure and occluded materials on corrosion characteristics. Methods Certain tests were used such as immersion, linear polarization, electrochemical impedance and microstructure analysis. Results The corrosion velocity and pitting susceptibility were compared and analysized for the four Cu-alloys; and the causes for differneces in corrosivity of Cu-alloys were obtained. Conclusion The mean corrosion velocity of B10 and H62 was smaller than that of T2 and TuP; and the pitting susceptibility of B10 and H62 was more than that of T2 and TuP. The corrosivity of different copper alloys was different because of their different microstructures and inclusions. |
