Abstract: |
Lighthill theory showed that jet noise will change as the shape of the nozzle changed. Conical nozzle and chevron nozzle were designed based on engine exhaust system. The relevant jet flow models were established. Flow analysis and noise prediction of the two kinds of nozzle were carried out with numerical simulation method. Numerical simulation showed that the new nozzles will bring some noise suppression. |
