Abstract: |
Internal explosions test of novel super-high strength aluminum alloy was carried out by cylinder explosion method and the microstructure of fracture caused by explosion load was observed using optical microscopy. The macro facture and localization phenomena of novel super-high strength aluminum alloy were studied. The results showed that novel super-high strength aluminum alloy is in shear fracture mixed with tensile fracture under explosion load, and the angle of maximum shear stress plane with the cylinder wall’s radial direction is approximately45°; there are many adiabatic shear bands(ASB) in the inner wall,which spread along in maximum shear stress plane. |
