Abstract: |
Energy conversion efficiency is the key factor which determines system’s performance. The methods to improve the energy conversion efficiency of RF MFCG were summarized according to the electromagnetic pulse generating principle of RF MFCG. It was concluded that stator coils winded in exponential pitch can effectively reduce ohmic dissipation; detonation at the time of maximal current can get the greatest compression magnetic flux; detonation in axis mode can reduce working time of the system and increase the frequency of output pulse. The equivalent circuit equation of RF MFCG was solved using mathematical analysis method. Numerical simulation was carried out on the ways of detonation at the time of maximal current and detonation in axis mode. The result showed that the methods discussed can improve RF MFCG energy conversion efficiency. |
