Abstract:
Residual concentration curve of imidazoline was established by ultraviolet spectrophotometry. Through analysis of distilled water sample and two samples from a gas field, it was found that the absorbance is proportional to the concentration and with good linear relationship when the corrosion inhibitors are in the range of 0 ~ 100 mg/L. Ultraviolet spectrophotometry can be used for daily rapid detection of residual concentration of imidazoline in oil-gas field.
