Abstract: |
Objective To study the effects of the neutralization degree, the amount of cross-linking agent and initiator agent, and the content of sodium acrylate monomer on the moisture-absorbing properties. Methods In this paper, the authors synthesized the dusty attapulgite mineral/ sodium polyacrylate superabsorbent composite material by the water solution polymerization using MBAA as the cross-linking agent and potassium persulfate as the initiator agent. ResultsThe optimal reaction conditions for the synthesis of moisture and water absorbent material were determined through the orthogonal experiments. The optimum moisture absorbency of the material reached4.0g/ g based on the orthogonal experiment results and the deionizing water absorption was910g/g.Conclusion Attapulgite mineral can change the properties of sodium polyacrylate superabsorbent. |
