Abstract:
Objective To study the corrosion behaviors and mechanisms of cast iron with different graphite morphology and matrix under the condition of total immersion in 3% NaCl solution. Methods The polarization curve, EIS and the coupon corrosion tests were used. Results The results showed that the corrosion rate of gray cast iron was greater than that of ductile iron. Conclusion The gray cast iron and ductile iron both had general uniform corrosion, and the corrosion-resistance property of ductile iron was superior to that of gray cast iron.
