Abstract:
Objective To predict the remaining shelf-life for a missile rubber sealing material based on the thermal aging method. Methods The rubber material was analyzed by MS, FTIR, EDS, and XRD, the temperature conditions were determined through thermogravimetric analysis, and clamp setting was designed to simulate the actual sealing structure of the missile, to conduct the accelerated thermal aging under four temperature conditions. Results The rubber material was styrene butadiene rubber, and the aging dynamics equation of permanent compressive deformation and storage time at the storage temperature of this material was established. Conclusion The remaining shelf-life was predicted to be 5. 8 a at 25 ℃ .
