| Objective To analyze the assessment requirements of high and low operating temperature for air-to-air missiles. Methods Based on the characteristics of air-to-air missile, the expected high and low operating environments throughout its life cycle were given, and the extreme temperatures under these environments were analyzed. Results A two-type carrier aircraft with air-to-air missile was taken as an example, the operating environments at different stages of the life cycle were comprehensively considered and the determination method as well as assessment suggestions for high and low operating temperature were given. Conclusion As different air-to-air missiles have different deployment area and carrier aircraft, the reference values of high and low operating temperature given in this paper could not cover all types of air-to-air missiles, so we should make a concrete analysis of each specific question to obtain relatively accurate operating temperature and to reasonably judge the environmental adaptability. |
