Abstract: |
Objective To investigate the corrosion of No.20 carbon steel in seawater and sewage in tanks. Methods The corrosion reason was investigated by immersion corrosion test, galvanic corrosion test, electrochemical test and corrosion morphology analysis. Results The corrosion data of No.20 carbon steel in seawater and sewage were obtained, including corrosion rate, corrosion potential, polarization curves, impedance spectroscopy and corrosion morphology. Conclusion The results indicated that the corrosion of embedded pipe was largely due to seawater inside the pipe, influence of welding on embedded pipe and sewage outside pipe, and the corrosion caused by seawater inside the pipe was a major factor. |
