Abstract:
Objective To study the adsorption and release of metal-organic framework MIL-101 for gaseous iodine. Methods Metal-organic framework MIL-101 was synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis method. The prepared MIL-101 was characterized by various techniques such as XRD, SEM, BET, TGA. Adsorption and release of the prepared metal-organic framework MIL-101 for gaseous iodine was carried out at 75℃. The absorbed material was dissolved in ethanol for iodine release. Results With the passage of the adsorption time, adsorption capacity of metal-organic framework MIL-101 for gaseous iodine was gradually increased and reached saturated adsorption capacity of 2.61gI2/gMIL-101 at 8h. With the passage of the time, iodine absorbed in the prepared material was gradually released. Conclusion The adsorption and release of metal-organic framework MIL-101 for gaseous iodine under high temperature has an excellent effect, and it can be recycled in the process of enrichment of iodine. So the material is suitable for the adsorption of radioactive gaseous iodide in the steam of nuclear power plant.
