Abstract: |
Objective To carry out periodic inspections of oil and gas pipelines and ensure safe and stable operation of the pipelines. Methods Direct detection of external corrosion was carried out on a natural gas pipeline under the jurisdiction of the Southwest Pipeline Company, including investigation of pipeline laying environment, detection of condition of anti-corrosion layer and effectiveness of cathodic protection of pipeline and direct inspection of excavation. According to the test results, it was used for use evaluation, including stress analysis calculation, residual strength assessment, pipeline residual life prediction and so on. Results The pipeline might be used and the evaluation interval was 5 years. Conclusion A variety of detection methods are used as direct detection methods to conduct comprehensive pipeline inspection on external corrosion of the pipeline and the corrosion protection system. It is also a comprehensive assessment method for integrity. It is a comprehensive integrity assessment method that meets the requirements of statutory inspections. Its evaluation results can be taken as a reliable basis for pipeline integrity management. Pipeline repair plans and preventive measures can be formulated accordingly on this basis. |
