Abstract: |
Objective To research on the stress rules of the cable tray. Methods Overall modeling and mechanical analysis of cable tray were carried out with the ANSYS finite element method. The seismic capacity of the cable tray for S2, S4 and trapezoid was discussed. Influences of different length of square steel and different number of bracket arm on the seismic capacity were discussed. Furthermore, the carrying capacity for bracket arm of three different cross-sections were discussed. Results The seismic capacity of the trapezoid cable tray was stronger than other two kinds of trays. If the length of square steel and number of bracket arm were increased, the force of the cable tray would be raised and it’s seismic capacity would be reduced. Compared with the other two forms of the bracket arms the bracket arm of the profiled steel cross-section had more effect on the carrying capacity of the try. Conclusion It lays a foundation for the self-design and improvement of cable tray in nuclear power plant. |
