Abstract:
Objective To find out the effect of sealing treatment on the protective performance of hard anodic oxide coating on aluminum alloy under different corrosion conditions. Methods Neutral salt spray test (NSS) and copper-accelerated acetic acid salt spray test (CASS) were adopted for accelerated test. The corrosion morphology of scratched samples and the corrosion appearance and adhesion strength of non-scratched samples were examined and analyzed. Results Protective properties, corrosion failure, adhesion change and anti-corrosion propagation performance of hard anodic oxide coating on four kinds of aluminum alloy materials under different test environments were obtained. Conclusion Sealing treatment can improve the corrosion resistance of hard anodic oxide coatings, improve the anti-corrosion propagation performance of hard anodic oxide coatings, and help to solve the problem of low adhesion between hard anodic oxide coatings and organic coatings.
