Abstract: |
The work aims to investigate low-reflection and high-absorption electromagnetic (EM) shielding of seawater by applying air impedance matching layers on initial seawater EM shielding. Based on the impedance of the initial seawater EM shielding and transmission line theory, the structure and EM parameters were calculated for the matching layers. For the reflective seawater EM shielding with high shielding effectiveness, the corresponding matching layers working at 433 MHz in ISM band were calculated and applied. The seawater electromagnetic shielding with matching layers could exhibit good EM shielding effectiveness with low-reflection and high-absorption. When all the incident electromagnetic waves penetrated into the seawater layer, resulting in conduction and polarization attenuation, the shielding effectiveness was less affected. Multi-material electromagnetic shielding consisting of seawater and matching materials can realize low-reflection and high-absorption EM shielding and keep the advantage of reflective seawater EM shielding. Matching seawater EM shielding is expected to play an important role in precision instrument electromagnetic shielding, target reverse detection and other fields. |
