Abstract: |
The tail of a ship with a dock cabin has a free surface that is connected to the outside. Due to the motion of the ship, waves can be generated inside the dock cabin, causing harmful wave slamming and affecting the normal operation of equipment inside the cabin. To address this issue, the work aims to propose a wave dissipation device scheme with good wave dissipation performance by systematically simulating and optimizing the wave dissipation scheme in the tail tank of ships with dock cabins. With the amphibious transport ship of the Royal Netherlands Navy as the target, 3D modeling was carried out, and the ship response under different waves was simulated and analyzed by CFD method. The motion response of the ship and the wave height of multiple monitoring points in the cabin were monitored. Based on the use of porous baffles, a set of wave dissipation device was given, and the response simulation of the ship with wave dissipation device scheme was carried out to evaluate the wave dissipation performance of the scheme. The installation of porous baffle wave dissipating devices on the front and side walls of the cabin could achieve a wave dissipation effect of up to 40%~50%, verifying the feasibility of this wave dissipation device. The porous medium area model is used to simulate the whole ship with porous medium wave dissipation device. The calculation efficiency is much higher than that of the actual physical model modeling, and the wave dissipation effect is better. |
