Abstract:
The work aims to tackle challenging requirements of complex structure such as a housing part, including wear resistance, abrasion reduction, anti-ablation, and corrosion resistance against persistent stain. Process and engineering application of the synergistic coating were conducted. Properties of the coating were characterized with SEM/EDS, thickness test, hardness test, adhesion test, neutral salt spray test and ball-disc wear test. The coating exhibited evenly distributed thickness, outstanding adhesion with the substrate after 5 thermal shock cycles at 300~500 ℃. Its hardness was as high as 800HV1.0, which was similar to that of the chromium plating. It had good wear resistance. There was no obvious scratch after 6 000 time wear tests. It had good corrosion resistance with a level 8 rating after 1 200 h of neutral salt spray test. Through the study and analysis on the effect of coating preparation technology on the properties of high-frequency quenching parts, the affecting law of coating preparation on high-frequency quenching parts was made clear. Obstacles encountered in manufacturing the coating on the housing part, such as “defective” and “gas-pocketed” areas were resolved. For the housing part, synergistic coating provides a performance that well satisfies the requirement, which is verified by extended product test.
